Who Are you?

In case you landed here by chance and not via my LinkedIn profile or my website, I am Prasanna Narayanan. A techie who hasn’t still given up renewing his domain name he purchased many moons ago. This blog is my latest attempt to revive it.

Why ‘Patchy Progress’?

Glad that you asked. I am going to be honest here. I am not great at naming things abstract. So I did what any sane person in 2025 would do. I asked this AI.

My prompt was this:

Suggest a name for my website. I am an regular tech worker who is struggling to keep up with the technological changes happening and will be using this site to capture my not so perfect learning experience. I will not be regularly posting, but I want to share my journey with other similar people so they know they can come to my site and get some inspiration.

I got a bunch of suggestions and this name ‘vibed' with my thoughts. (Full disclosure: Still not comfortable using the word ‘vibe’. I feel like I am lying about my age).

So, there you have.

As for the contents, I think this is going to be posts mostly about my learning, my opinions and sometimes AI generated polished versions of it. I don’t really think this is going to be more than a personal, public journal. But let’s see where it goes!
